Jimi Franklin was born in Los Angeles CA, but later moved to Tokyo Japan at a young age where he lived until he graduated high school. After ten years of living away from the US, he moved back to the country to study photography at the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, under the influences of photographers such as Nicholas Nixon, Abelardo Morell, Laura Mcphee, David Hilliard, Barbara Bosworth and etc.
Jimi Franklin currently lives and works in Los Angeles CA
